Palmer Ranch Location
The Waterton River Valley
Numerous creeks cut deep canyons through red argillite rock, to form Waterton lake in Waterton National Park. From this mountainous setting, the Waterton River winds and braids across the foothills, forming valleys of cottonwood stands and natural springs. The Palmer Ranch is located in one such secluded valley, approximately 40 kilometers south of Pincher Creek.
The Ranch’s location provides convenient access to the natural springs, the Waterton River, and many nearby streams. During your stay at the Palmer Ranch you may choose to fish, hunt locally, ride horseback, hike in the alpine meadows of Waterton National Park, and even climb big rocky mountain peaks.
This is Alberta’s finest scenery writ large. Wilderness access is easy, and you certainly won’t run into any crowds.
